U9

James has been coaching this year group for 4 years now, and every season all the players have truly developed with their cricket skills. James has completed the ECB Coach Support Worker course, holds a current DBS certificate, and along with Julie Pickard, he is one of the Club Welfare Officers.
Last season was naturally disrupted by the current Covid pandemic. In 2019, the team won the Marlow Cricket Club Big Bash. This season, we have 5 league games starting in June.
James' ambitions this season are to continue to see the players thrive, progress and enjoy their cricket. He also wants them to experience playing home and away matches this season.
If you're interested in joining the U9s then please contact the club, check out the the fantastic grounds and come and try out with the age group. This season the Under 9 age group trains on Sundays between 1000 - 1130 hours at the club. Later on, as detailed in the club calendar, the side has matches on Sundays too. This season, we are still playing with wind balls, so there is no need to buy any cricket equipment. Next season, the aim is to progress onto playing with cricket hard balls.
