From age 5 to 19, we offer cricket coaching for juniors with the emphasis on FUN and PARTICIPATION. Everyone is welcome so come along to find out more, and bring a friend too.
We believe in providing fun and safe cricket coaching plus a comprehensive programme of matches in the Bucks leagues. In 2021 we have entered teams into leagues at the U7, U8, U9, U10, U11 (2 teams), U13, U15, U17 and U19 age groups, plus 2 girls only teams. We also cater for 5 & 6 year olds, running sessions to introduce them to the core skills of cricket, but most importantly with an emphasis on having fun.
Chenies & Latimer is a competitive, yet friendly and welcoming cricket club boasting one of the best cricket wickets in the area, first class net facilities, all set in beautiful surroundings. In addition to our fantastic colts section, we run 3 Saturday senior sides in the Thames Valley League and a friendly Sunday XI. We have a strong track record of graduating boys and girls from our colts section into adult cricket.
Girls cricket is among the fastest growing sports in this country, and our club is at the forefront of this trend. We are one of the few clubs that run 2 girls only teams, that train and play together. Many of our girls also play in the boys teams. Our success is primarily measured by the fun and participation of the girls in cricket, but we have enjoyed winning silverware with a number of festival triumphs and in 2020 our U15 Girls were County Champions. We are now in a position to grow the girls section further and we’re looking for more girls to join us, especially in the 10-13 age group.
Due to Covid restrictions, we are not able to run training sessions for all age groups simultaneously on a Sunday morning. We will be catering for all age groups up to U10 on Sundays, and the older age groups will train during the week.
