how to stay up to date

Managing our club involves a lot of communication. Club members want or need to know what is going on, and the club often needs to pass on news or information to the membership. Club officials will communicate with you, so therefore, please take a few minutes to get yourselves set up on your devices to access all the latest news. Don’t worry, we’re not going to bombard your inbox on a daily basis! From an admin perspective, if all members are set up on all communication channels, then we do not need to duplicate messages across all channels, saving valuable time and effort. The following communication methods are used by the club:

1. Email
We use the website to communicate with the membership by email. The sender will show in your inbox as “Chenies & Latimer Cricket CC”. To ensure that you can receive these emails you must login in to your Pitchero account and register your email address and opt in to receive email from the club.
In some circumstances, officers of the club will use their own email address to communicate with sub-sections of the membership. But in time we’d like to phase this out and rely solely on the website. This can happen only if every club member is contactable via the website so please do check that your settings allow this.

Colts – from a safeguarding and practicality perspective it is vital that every colt member is connected to a parent membership profile. In this way, all communication directed to the colt is actually sent to the parent(s). Consequently, a colt’s membership profile does not need to have an email address associated with it. However, this does not preclude a colt from registering their email address and receiving the communication in addition to their parent(s) receiving it. We would go so far as to encourage this among the older colts groups as it begins to prepare them for being adult club members by, for example, being responsible for answering their own availability or selection requests.

2. Website
Most club news is posted in the form of a news article on the website. Make sure you check in regularly to read the latest updates from the club: www.chenies-cricket.org

3. Pitchero Club app
Connect to Chenies & Latimer CC on the Pitchero Club App and you'll never miss a thing, from the latest results, league tables and club news. Whether you are a player, parent, coach or a supporter, the Pitchero Club App has everything you need to follow your club on the go. Everyone using the Pitchero Club App can use it to stay up to date and if you're a player you can use it to provide captains and coaches with your availability. All you need is a Pitchero account connected to your Club.

Download the free Pitchero Club App on both Android and iOS devices.

Once you have the app you can login or register to access your Club. (Top tip: Enable automatic updates to keep the app up to date to ensure that you have access to all the latest features!)
Step-by-step guide to logging in:
• Open the Pitchero Club App
• Tap 'Sign in'
• Enter your email address & password (your Pitchero login credentials)
• Tap 'Sign in

4. Social Media:
Twitter - @CheniesLatCC
Instagram - chenieslatimercc (there is one called chenies_and_latimer_cc but this is not an official account)

5. Whatsapp
Some teams use Whatsapp groups to communicate with players and/or parents. Whatsapp is extremely useful especially when needing to communicate quickly and immediately such as for last minute cancellations or getting stuck in traffic en route to away matches, so if you are invited to join one of the club’s Whatsapp groups then please accept.
