2024 Senior Awards

2024 Senior Awards

Dave Brown12 Jan - 12:40

Who won what?

Just before Christmas we held the Senior awards night.
It was not the most successful season for the club in senior cricket with all 3 teams finishing in the bottom half of their divisions, and winning just 5 of 15 friendly matches. But the Women did achieve a 3rd place finish and there was plenty of success among the colts teams. But there were loads of great individual performances across the season and it is those that these awards celebrate. 12 centuries were scored by 6 different batsmen. 21 players scored a fifty and there were 42 overall. 9 players registered a season aggregate in excess of 300 runs. On the bowling front there were just 2 5 fers, but a further 10 4 fers. Four bowlers took 20 or more wickets across the season. We shouldn’t forget our wicketkeepers and our fielding. The keepers took 46 catches and 7 stumpings, with our leading keeper effecting 15 dismissals. Impressive fielding contributions aswell with no less than 19 players taking 5 or more catches.
